Having spent my formative years in Liverpool, England, my earliest ambitions were to be a cinematographer and travel. Initially training and working as a photographer, I later joined the Navy. Rising from the lowest rank to Commissioned Officer. I served at sea and ashore, and in Joint-Service posts; something that has given me insight into Maritime, Land and Air operational and logistical environments, before leaving to return to my creative roots working in image manipulation in the commercial world.

My experiences have also given me insight into the challenges that we all face
in steering the right course to achieve both career ambition and personal happiness. I enjoy writing for any gender and/or character diversity but I'm mostly drawn towards believable, intriguing and complicated women. I love creating characters who feel 'real' as they are faced with tough, relatable choices, especially in Thriller, Action and Crime stories, and I relish exploring those based within uniform/rank-based/militaristic-themed settings. |
I'm finally a cinematographer of sorts, using words instead of a camera to make characters and images come to life in the mind's eye. To evoke emotions, hide surprises and encourage readers to think. As a screenwriter, I create solid foundations for successful films. I collaborate with creative professionals to translate my words into moving images that inspire, engage and entertain.

I also act as a Military Adviser and Liaison for film and television production companies and executives.
